Lead Time Planner

How long does a custom mall kiosk take? Plan for at least 75 days.

Enter the date your kiosk or fixtures must be installed and see the latest date to start, plus what happens between deposit and installation.

The short answer

At least 75 days. Start about four months ahead.

Plan for at least 75 days for a custom mall kiosk or fixture project, and start about four months before your opening if you can. Rush production from about 50 days is possible at a higher cost. The 75-day standard minimum assumes quick design approval and an open factory schedule; landlord review, extra design rounds, and busy production periods all add time.

The minimum covers design, production, factory pre-assembly, knock-down packing, sea freight, and installation. We do not publish a day-by-day schedule because production slots depend on how busy the factory is when your order is confirmed.

What Happens

From deposit to installation

Every custom kiosk and fixture project follows these six stages. The order never changes; the time each one takes depends on your approvals, the landlord, and the factory schedule.

01

Deposit and design

The 30% deposit starts the design: layout to the leased footprint, 3D renders, and drawings, with up to three revision rounds included.

02

Landlord approval

We prepare the submission drawings most malls ask for and revise them if the landlord comments. Review times are set by the mall, so we recommend submitting as early as possible.

03

Final approval and production booking

With the final design approved and 90% paid, the project is booked into production. Production slots depend on the factory schedule at the time, so earlier confirmation means more choice.

04

Fabrication and factory pre-assembly

The kiosk is built, wired, and fully assembled in our factory so you can see the real result before it is packed.

05

Knock-down packing and sea freight

The kiosk is taken apart into labelled, protected modules and shipped with a detailed English installation manual.

06

Arrival, balance, and installation

The final 10% is due on arrival in your country. In Canada our installation team can install (simplest and lowest cost in the GTA); in the US your local crew installs with our engineer guiding on site if needed.

Why Start Early

Why starting four months out pays off

Factory schedules change

When the factory is busy, new projects wait for a production slot. The 75-day minimum only holds when a slot is open.

Landlords take their own time

Mall review and resubmission are outside anyone's control on the production side. Starting early absorbs a round of landlord comments.

Design is where the value is

Three revision rounds are included. Rushing them to hit a date usually means living with details you would have changed.

Rush costs more

Rush production from about 50 days is possible, but it carries a higher cost and can rule out materials, finishes, or certified electrical parts that need longer to source.

Payment Along the Way

When each payment is due

30% · Deposit to start design

The design stage starts once the 30% deposit is received. This covers layout, 3D renders, and drawings, including up to three rounds of revisions.

60% · Before production (90% paid)

When the final design is approved, a further 60% is paid and the project is booked into production. The design is locked from this point.

Check · Factory pre-assembly review

The kiosk or fixtures are assembled in our factory so you can see the real finished result before anything is packed and shipped.

10% · Balance on arrival

The final 10% is due when the shipment arrives in your destination country.

Shipping and Installation

How the kiosk arrives and goes up

Kiosks and fixtures ship knocked down (flat-packed) in protected modules, not fully assembled. Every order includes a detailed English installation manual and guidance, and each module is labelled so the kiosk goes back together in the right order.

Our own installation team can install anywhere in Canada; projects in the Greater Toronto Area, where the team is based, are the simplest and usually cost less to install. In the United States we do not have an installation crew: you hire local installers, and we can send one of our engineers to guide them on site. The engineer supervises and answers technical questions but does not carry out the physical work.

FAQ

Kiosk lead time questions

How long does it take to make and install a custom mall kiosk?

Plan for at least 75 days for a custom mall kiosk or fixture project, and start about four months before your opening if you can. Rush production from about 50 days is possible at a higher cost. The 75-day standard minimum assumes quick design approval and an open factory schedule; landlord review, extra design rounds, and busy production periods all add time.

When should I contact a kiosk manufacturer before opening?

About four months before the kiosk must be installed. That leaves room for the included design rounds, a round of landlord comments, and the factory schedule on top of the 75-day minimum.

What if my opening date is less than 75 days away?

Ask about rush production. From about 50 days it is possible at a higher cost. Below that, tell us the date anyway and we will say honestly, within one business day, whether anything can be done; we would rather turn down a date we cannot meet than deliver late.

Why can the lead time be longer than 75 days?

Because production slots depend on the factory schedule when your order is confirmed, and landlord reviews and extra design rounds add time before production can start. The 75 days is the minimum, not a guarantee for every season.

Does the kiosk arrive assembled?

Kiosks and fixtures ship knocked down (flat-packed) in protected modules, not fully assembled. Every order includes a detailed English installation manual and guidance, and each module is labelled so the kiosk goes back together in the right order.

Who installs the kiosk when it arrives?

Our own installation team can install anywhere in Canada; projects in the Greater Toronto Area, where the team is based, are the simplest and usually cost less to install. In the United States we do not have an installation crew: you hire local installers, and we can send one of our engineers to guide them on site. The engineer supervises and answers technical questions but does not carry out the physical work.

When are payments due during the project?

Our standard payment schedule is 30% deposit to start design, a further 60% (90% in total) before production starts, and the final 10% when the shipment arrives in your destination country. Before shipping, we assemble the order in the factory so you can see the real result.

Have a date already?

Send the installation date with your brief. We check it against the factory schedule and reply within one business day.
