What we make

A storefront sign has to be legible from across the street, readable at night, sized to what the landlord and the city allow, and built to survive a Toronto winter on an exterior wall. That is a fabrication problem before it is a graphics problem.

We design and fabricate signage in our own factory and install it across the GTA, for retail stores, restaurants, clinics, and service businesses. We also build the facade behind the sign and the fixtures behind the glass, so the sidewalk and the interior read as one project.

Signage Scope

Storefront signs we design, build, and install

Each element is drawn and quoted separately, so the lettering, the logo, the facade panel, and the window graphics never disappear into one lump-sum number.

Channel letters

Fabricated aluminum returns with acrylic faces, front-lit, halo-lit, or both. Mounted direct to the facade, or on a raceway where the wall construction calls for it.

Illuminated logos and logo boxes

Shaped logo cabinets and cut-out marks lit to match the lettering beside them, so the sign reads as one piece at night.

Lightboxes and sign cabinets

Single and double-sided cabinets with translucent faces, even LED backlighting, and service access. Common where a landlord fixes the sign band for every tenant.

Blade and projecting signs

Perpendicular signs that catch foot traffic down the sidewalk, illuminated or not, with brackets sized for the wall and the projection the landlord allows.

Window and door graphics

Cut vinyl lettering, frosted and etched-look films, window wraps, hours and logo decals, and privacy bands aligned to the glazing and mullions.

Full storefront facades

Cladding, portals, and entrances in aluminum composite, stainless steel, or powder-coated panel, so the sign and the wall it sits on are built together.

Interior feature signage

Backlit logo walls, dimensional lettering behind a counter, neon-look flex signs, and wayfinding that continues the storefront finish indoors.

Menu boards and counter signage

Backlit or plain menu panels, screen surrounds, and price rails for restaurants, cafes, and bubble tea counters, built to fit the bulkhead they mount to.

Materials and lighting

Aluminum returns and backs for channel letters and sign cabinets
Acrylic faces in white, translucent colour, or tinted, with applied vinyl for exact brand colours
Stainless steel and aluminum composite panel for facades, portals, and sign bands
LED modules and remote power supplies, in warm and cool white and in colour
Powder coat, anodized, brushed, and PVD finishes on metal faces and trims
Cut vinyl, printed vinyl, and frosted or etched-look films for glass
Acrylic and metal standoffs, raceways, mounting rails, and concealed fasteners

Illumination changes a sign the most. Front-lit letters push light out through the face, halo-lit letters throw it back against the wall, and a cabinet lights the panel evenly. Each needs a different power run.

Honest about permits

We prepare the drawings landlords and the city need and coordinate with your permit consultant. We do not claim to pull permits ourselves, and we say early which parts of the approval sit outside our scope.

Process

How a signage project runs

Site survey and photos

We measure the sign band, note the wall construction, check where power can come from, and take straight-on photos of the storefront.

Design and mock-up

Your logo and lettering are laid over the actual storefront photo at true scale, so you can see size, spacing, and the night-time look before anything is committed.

Landlord and permit drawings

We prepare the package landlords and the city usually ask for: elevations, mounting details, illumination type, electrical load, and finish callouts. We are not a permit house, so we work with your permit consultant or sign permit applicator.

Fabrication

Letters, cabinets, and facade panels are built, wired, finished, and test-lit in our own factory. Face and vinyl colours are checked under light before the sign ships.

Install and electrical connection

Our GTA crew handles access, mounting, and levelling, and licensed trades complete the electrical connection. Insurance and WSIB certificates go to the landlord first.

Landlord and city drawings

Almost every exterior sign in the GTA passes two reviews before it goes up: the landlord's design criteria and the city's sign permit. The same drawing package usually satisfies both. Expect to need:

Storefront elevation with sign dimensions, letter heights, and setbacks from the lease line
Section and attachment detail showing how the sign fixes to the wall construction
Illumination detail: LED type, transformer locations, and connected electrical load
Colour and finish schedule with brand colour references and gloss levels
A landlord criteria check, since most malls and plazas limit sign band size, projection, and illumination
A photo overlay or render, which is what most landlords and owners actually approve from

We prepare that package. We are not a permit house and do not submit applications ourselves, so we work with your permit consultant or sign permit applicator. Starting the drawings early is the best way to protect an opening date.

Letters and cabinets are wired and test-lit in the factory before they ship, so colour and brightness are confirmed under light, not discovered on the wall.

What drives the price

Signage quotes move on a short list of variables. Knowing them early keeps the design inside the budget.

Overall sign size, and the height of the lettering
Letter count, and how much detail sits inside each letter or logo shape
Illumination type: non-illuminated, front-lit, halo-lit, or a lit cabinet
Mounting height and access: ladder work, a lift, or a swing stage
Raceway versus direct mount, and whether the wall needs new blocking or patching
Permit drawings, engineering sign-off, and landlord design review fees
After-hours or overnight work where the property restricts daytime installs
Facade work beyond the sign itself, such as cladding, a portal, or a new sign band

Signage and the storefront together

A sign rarely arrives on its own. It usually comes with a new facade panel, a repainted sign band, an entrance change, or a fit-out behind the glass. Because we run our own factory and GTA crews, those are quoted as one scope instead of split between a sign shop, a metal shop, and a contractor.

FAQ

Common questions about storefront signs in Toronto

How much does a storefront sign cost in Toronto?

It depends mostly on size, letter count, and illumination. Cut vinyl graphics, a non-illuminated dimensional sign, and halo-lit channel letters on a raceway are different orders of cost for the same storefront. We quote the sign, the drawings, and the install as separate lines. A real number needs the elevation and the mounting condition.

Do I need a sign permit in Toronto?

Most exterior signs need one, and the rules differ by zone and sign type. Your landlord will have its own design criteria on top of that. We prepare the drawing package a permit application and a landlord review normally require, and work with your permit consultant or sign permit applicator. We are not a permit house and do not submit on your behalf.

How long does a storefront sign take?

Roughly a week for survey, design, and mock-up, then landlord and permit review, then fabrication, then a day or so on site for install and connection. Approval is the least predictable stage and usually decides the overall date, so start the drawings early.

Can you match our brand colours?

Yes. Send your brand guide or the Pantone and RAL references. Acrylic, vinyl, and powder coat each render colour differently, and a translucent face changes again once the LEDs are on, so we check the match under light and can send a sample chip before production.

Do you install, or do we need our own installer?

We install across the GTA with our own crew, handling access, mounting, and levelling. Licensed trades make the final electrical connection. Insurance and WSIB certificates go to your landlord before the crew arrives.

Can you replace just the faces on an existing sign?

Often yes. If the cabinet or the letter returns are sound, re-facing and re-lamping is the lowest-cost route for a rebrand or a change of tenant. Send photos of the sign and the cabinet edge and we will tell you whether it makes sense.

Do you do the whole storefront, not just the sign?

Yes. Many clients order the sign alone. Others hand us the facade, entrance, and interior fit-out together, in which case signage is quoted alongside the cladding, millwork, lighting, and fixtures on our renovation service.
